The DERBYSHIRE PLAYER PATHWAY HANDBOOK for 2018-19 is currently being circulated to players by coaches, Clubs and Schools. This will give you information about the Derbyshire Player Pathway activities starting this summer. The document may be downloaded here - Please pass the information on to anyone you know who might be interested. Registration update for the new season If you are already registered on the EHB player system, most of you will shortly receive an invitation email from the online registration system when you are moved up into the next age group for the 2018-19 season. When you receive this system email, please review and update your registration details ready for the DCs starting in June. Please also check carefully that your email addresses and emergency information is up to date, and your school and club are current. This is very important. If you were U13 last season and are still U13 for the coming season’s DCs, you may not receive the system email, but please still check and update your details. Please tick the appropriate consent boxes and print off a copy to take to each DC venue you attend. If you did not take an active part in the 2017-18 Player Pathway activities you will not receive the email, but if you wish to take part this season, please drop me a line and I will reactivate your account. PLEASE NOTE: England Hockey are in the process of introducing a new registration website, but this has not yet been applied at Development Centre level. We will continue to use the old ehb registration until that happens, when player details will be copied across to the new website, and you will be asked to confirm your registration AGAIN! Due to low numbers, there will be no Development Centre sessions for U16s or U17s. For these age groups, assessments/selections for Academy will be made at the first AC sessions starting in September. There is no 'selection' or nomination required to attend DC, so please tell your friends to just register and come along and have a go. It is recommended that you try to attend at least 12 hours of DC coaching during the summer. You can attend at one or more of the venues (Shobnall, Belper or Buxton), depending which dates suit you best. You can attend more than 12 hours, if you wish, at no extra cost. You will receive feedback from the coaches during the training sessions, both individually to players, as well as to groups. There will be no formal assessments for DC activity. Please pay your training fees in advance, by bank transfer if possible, as detailed in the Player Pathway Handbook. BACK THIS SEASON, by popular demand, we will again be offering the opportunity for players to purchase a Derbyshire Hockey t-shirt. A simple purple cotton T, with Derbyshire Hockey branding, suitable for wearing for training or just as a casual top. These are available to anyone taking part in Derbyshire Hockey activities, but are by no means compulsory – they are not required kit. They will be available to purchase at the training sessions and will cost just £10. If you have any questions or problems, please get back to me. We are always looking for extra help coaching, managing teams, doing admin, so if any parents would like to get more involved, in any way, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Regards, Judy, Player Admin – Derbyshire - Speak with Paul Speed if you are not already registered and wish to attend.
